Our story began in 2008, after our founder lost a young family member to a road crash, not because his injuries were fatal but because the witnesses were too scared of getting entangled in legal and hospital processes. Therefore, SaveLIFE started out as an effort to provide legal protection for bystanders who voluntarily help crash victims, protecting them from institutional harassment. This became the driving force for the country’s first Good Samaritan Law, which was institutionalised in 2016. That early fight for dignity and justice revealed a larger possibility: if systems could be changed after a crash, could they be redesigned to stop crashes from happening in the first place?

Since then, SaveLIFE has grown from a single legal intervention into a movement to prevent road crash fatalities at scale. By taking a scientific view, asking difficult questions, and working alongside communities and governments, we continue to push for the design of roads, laws, and emergency systems that value human life and dignity, above all else.
